Our newest exhibit, OCEAN, invites you to play, learn and experience the largest ecosystem on the planet without leaving the Piedmont! Linger over beautiful seashells found on North Carolina's beaches and exotic shells from faraway beaches. Check out perfectly formed, tiny shells through our microscope. Learn about the challenges faced and conquered by marine researchers and see displays on biotechnology, commercial fishing, coastal erosion and more. Then stop by The Schiele "pier," play in a box filled with beach sand and surprises, examine shells and marine animals and see the spectacular, venomous lion fish, delicate seahorses and more. Don't miss The Amazing Marine Show in the Myers Auditorium Tuesdays through Fridays at 10 a.m., beginning June 2. You may find yourself a contestant in The Marine Dating Game or Ocean Jeopardy.
