PRESENTATIONS

These interactive programs showcase museum collections and resources in dynamic ways. Sessions include attention-grabbing demonstrations and opportunities for student participation to illustrate exciting natural science and history concepts. Maximum group size is 150 students. Most programs last one hour.

Animal Adaptations: Learn about the diversity of the animal kingdom and how animals use adaptations to survive in varying habitats. Program includes live and preserved specimens. Best suited for grades: K, 1, 2, 4, 5, and 8.

Woodland Indians: Discover how people survived in the Southeastern Woodlands 500 years ago, illustrated with items made from plants, animals and other natural resources. Best suited for grades: K, 2, and 4.

Weather: Find out how air, water, sunlight, and gravity combine to create Earth 's weather systems through dynamic demonstrations. Best suited for grades: 5 and 7.

Dirt Made My Lunch: Discover where food comes from, how to make healthy food choices, and the best ways to handle food waste through engaging demonstrations. Best suited for grades: 3, 6, and 8.
