Nature Trail & Outdoor Exhibits

NatureTrailReopen

The Schiele is excited to announce that the Nature Trail and Outdoor Exhibits is open to the public. As of May 30th, the outdoor areas of the museum will be free of charge until we are able to reopen the museum building itself.

HOURS

Mon - Sat: 10 AM - 4 PM

Sun: 1 - 4 PM

What does this mean?

Guests can visit The Farm, Catawba Village, and Playscape areas while they enjoy the Nature Trail.  Typically, these areas are included with museum admission; however, as phase-2 prohibits the opening of the museum, The Schiele Museum is pleased to provide our outdoor exhibits free to our members and community while we await the reopening of the indoor experiences.

We’re also pleased to offer limited outdoor educational programs many days.  Be sure to check the sign at the Nature Trail entrance for the topics, times and locations for these programs.

** Please note that the Catawba Village and The Farm may be closed on rainy days or for other circumstances of inclement weather.**

Please be mindful of others that are also enjoying the Nature Trail and Outdoor Exhibits.  You should still maintain safe social distancing practices.

Dogs on the Trail

Please keep in mind, while dogs are allowed on the trail on a leash, they are not permitted within the Outdoor Exhibit areas like The Farm, Catawba Indian Village, and Playscape.  Please be sure to pick up after your dog as well.

Museum and Indoor Exhibits

The museum interior exhibits remain closed to the public.  This also means that there will be no restroom facilities available during your visit to the Nature Trail and Outdoor Exhibits. Please plan accordingly.
