The Pumpkin Patch


Starts Friday, September 24 through Sunday, October 31

Discover the wonders of fall’s most famous fruit!  Visit The Farm to learn about the natural history of pumpkins and their kin, how their grown, and how nutritious they are.  Plus, enjoy the gardens, hands-on activities and live farm animals that help tell the story of agriculture in the Piedmont.  Each visitor gets to enjoy picking a pumpkin of their own to take home.

The Farm will be decked out for the fall for this festive celebration of the pumpkin!

Pleaset note that  the times/availalbility of The Pumpkin Patch Programs will be shown when you click Purchase Tickets. 

Tickets will be available beginning the week of September 20th.

These fees help to off-set the costs for museum operations from caring for the live-animals, program materials, and staff. Fee includes admission to Pumpkin Patch program, pumpkin, and access to the Farm. Ticket purchase does not include admission to visit indoor museum exhibits.

All participants in the Pumpkin Patch program will be required to wear a mask and practice safe, social distancing during the program and while they're visiting the site.  As recommended by health officials, we also recommend you maintain a 6' distance between yourself and others and wash your hands as often as possible.
