When is Winter Camp offered?
The program is offered January 3 to January 7 from 7:30 AM - 6 PM daily.
Will the program operate during inclement weather?
No. For the safety of our participants and employees, the program will not operate in the event of inclement weather. Participants would be notified as soon as possible in the event of the museum closing due to weather.
My child is in kindergarten, can they participate?
Yes. Winter Camp is offered to children currently K - 5th grade.
How will my child get to the museum?
Parents will need to drop off their children at the museum. Information will be emailed to parents on where and how to drop off children before the start of Winter Camp.
I'm a Schiele Member, do I get a discount?
YES - Schiele Members receive a reduced rate.
What does my child need to participate?
Each child should simply bring their lunch.
Will my child have access to a refrigerator or microwave at lunch?
No. Unfortunately children will not have access to a refrigerator or a microwave.
Is snack provided?
There will be an afternoon snack provided each day.
What precautions does the Schiele take to ensure safety?
Schiele Museum visitors and staff are required to wear masks. We are taking every precaution to keep your children safe while they are participating in our programs. We are constantly evaluating our policies and procedures to follow the current recommended health and safety guidelines as recommended by the CDC and local and state officials. We continue to promote frequent handwashing, provide access to hand sanitizer, and maintain practical social distancing.
Will my child have to wear a mask?
Yes. As part of the current guidelines from the CDC and the City of Gastonia, participants will be required to wear a mask.
What are the Winter Camp fees?
Participation is $175 per child for Schiele Museum members and $200 per child for non-members. Non-members are encouraged to join the Schiele to receive the discount. There is no registration fee required.
Is there a discount for additional children?
With very limited capacity, the program requires the same fee for each additional child. However, a family membership allows for the member rate for each child in your family.
When is payment required?
Payment will be required at the time of registration to guarantee your spot.
